The Opportunity
An established engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join its expanding multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional with three to seven years of relevant experience to contribute to a diverse range of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality technical design outputs and supporting the delivery of drainage, water supply, road and site-level infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings and technical design outputs.
- Support the design of drainage and water supply systems.
- Contribute to site-level and road design projects.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians and other disciplines.
- Apply technical knowledge and engineering principles to project requirements.
- Ensure drawings and design documentation meet required quality standards.
- Assist with the coordination and development of project deliverables.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design process.
- Contribute effectively to multidisciplinary project teams.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–7 years of relevant civil engineering experience and sector knowledge.
- Strong technical knowledge and proven engineering skills.
- Experience designing drainage and water supply systems.
- A track record of producing high-quality design outputs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- A flexible, motivated and focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent or highly proficient spoken and written English.
Desirable Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience with site-level design.
- Experience in road design.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Membership of a professional engineering body, such as Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Civil Engineers.
