About the Role
A leading Irish multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Sustainable Infrastructure to join its growing team.
This senior leadership opportunity is ideal for a Chartered Civil Engineer with 15+ years’ postgraduate experience in infrastructure design and project management. You will work across a diverse portfolio including national roads, greenways, active travel, public transport, renewable energy and major Design & Build projects.
The role provides significant responsibility for project delivery, client relationships, team leadership and business development, with a clear pathway towards Director-level progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
- Manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects and key client relationships.
- Mentor and manage Project Managers and engineering professionals.
- Supervise and support senior and junior team members.
- Plan and coordinate design activities with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and tender documentation.
- Manage project resources, budgets and deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subconsultants and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and Health & Safety legislation.
- Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of the infrastructure team.
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Minimum 15 years’ postgraduate experience in infrastructure design and project management.
- Proven multidisciplinary design management experience.
- Strong experience delivering infrastructure projects in Ireland.
- Experience with highway or greenway projects to TII and NTA standards is advantageous.
- Design & Build experience would be beneficial.
- Strong client, stakeholder and subconsultant management skills.
- Experience preparing and managing project budgets.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
