About the Role
A leading Irish multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate – Renewables to join its Sustainable Infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineering professional to take a leadership role across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from design through to construction. The role also offers a clear pathway for continued career progression into senior leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
- Manage a portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Mentor and manage junior engineers and project managers.
- Prepare and review designs, technical reports and tender documentation.
- Plan and coordinate design activities with engineering leads and technicians.
- Support projects involving design, independent checking, design and build, and owner’s engineer services.
- Ensure compliance with quality management, Health & Safety and relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate with clients, subconsultants and wider project teams.
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Approximately 15 years’ postgraduate experience in renewables and infrastructure.
- Strong experience delivering renewable energy projects in Ireland or the UK.
- Experience across wind, solar, BESS or related infrastructure projects.
- Proven multidisciplinary design management experience.
- Experience with Design & Build projects is advantageous.
- Strong client, stakeholder and subconsultant management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
