Senior Quantity Surveyor – Building & Infrastructure

About the Role
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects while taking a leading role in cost management, commercial delivery and client engagement.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, clients and contractors while also mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and contributing to the continued development of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, cost plans and pricing documents.
- Draft tender documentation, including Suitability Assessment Questionnaires.
- Prepare cost reports and provide commercial advice throughout projects.
- Assess tenders and prepare tender reports.
- Manage commercial aspects of construction contracts.
- Attend site and design team meetings.
- Prepare payment certificates and recommendations.
- Manage and agree final accounts.
- Lead and support project teams to deliver work within programme and budget.
- Mentor and review Graduate and Project Quantity Surveyors.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and team development.
- Contribute to quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and best practice.
- Maintain CPD and professional development records.
Requirements
- Level 8 Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Chartered status with SCSI and/or RICS.
- Typically 8–12 years’ relevant experience.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and client-facing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Cubit or similar estimating software.
