About the Role
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Environment & Planning to take ownership of project delivery across a diverse portfolio of environmental, planning and infrastructure projects.
You will lead or support Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, manage technical and financial delivery, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants and stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for high-profile projects while developing your leadership and project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead EIA processes or support Senior Project Managers and Technical Directors.
- Manage delivery of EIARs, PECRs and other environmental reports.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants and project resources.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and deliverables.
- Monitor project scope, costs, cash flow, invoicing and financial forecasting.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, authorities, subconsultants and members of the public.
- Provide environmental expertise and ensure compliance with planning legislation.
- Monitor changes to planning policy, legislation and development plans.
- Manage project risks, Health & Safety requirements and quality assurance.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant quality, environmental and occupational health systems.
- Manage scope changes and communicate impacts to clients.
- Ensure technical outputs are delivered accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
Requirements
- Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline; Level 9 desirable.
- Typically 5+ years’ relevant experience in environmental planning, EIA or consultancy.
- Proven experience managing environmental reports and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of EIA processes and Irish planning legislation.
- Experience in infrastructure, renewable energy or Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) projects is advantageous.
- Relevant professional membership and progression towards chartership desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
