Overview

We are seeking motivated and talented Structural Engineers at Design Engineer, Project Engineer and Senior Engineer level to join a growing structural engineering team. The role involves the design, analysis, coordination and delivery of a wide range of structural engineering projects, from concept through to construction.

Design structural elements in steel, concrete, timber and masonry in accordance with Eurocodes.
Prepare and review structural calculations using hand calculations and specialist software.
Contribute to complex designs including foundations, transfer structures, torsional beams and flat slabs.
Prepare technical specifications, reports and project documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams.
Support tendering activities, site investigations and project delivery.
Carry out site inspections and prepare BCAR documentation and reports.
Complete Designer Risk Assessments and ensure health and safety compliance.
Manage project tasks in line with programme and budget requirements.
Mentor graduate engineers and technicians where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

About You

Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Approximately 2–12 years’ relevant structural engineering experience.
Strong understanding of structural design and analysis.
Experience designing to Eurocodes across multiple construction materials.
Excellent communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Commercial awareness and understanding of project budgets and deliverables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

For Project/Senior Engineers, Chartered Engineer status or active progress towards chartership is desirable, together with experience coordinating teams, mentoring junior engineers and engaging directly with clients.

Desirable Software

Experience with Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, CADS A3D, Tedds, AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Civil 3D, Navisworks or construction management platforms is advantageous.
